Before tip off on Tuesday night, Emery honored its seven seniors, including Addie Lester, Baylee Jacobson, Brynn Gordon, Tambrie Tuttle, Daicee Ungerman, Tylee Norton and Madi Childs. The game then commenced against Real Salt Lake Academy (RSLA).
The Lady Spartans stole the show with six made three-point shots in the first quarter. Emery bolted out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back. In addition, the Spartans played excellent defense and shutout the Griffins in the second quarter to lead 41-7 at half. Everyone made it onto the court as the Lady Spartans blew out RSLA 66-20. To put it in perspective, Emery scored more in the first quarter (28 points) than RSLA did in the entire game. It was a complete team win as 17 players entered the game for the Spartans.
Emery (16-4, 4-1) will now turn its attention to Carbon (11-8, 1-4). The rivalry game will take place in Price on Thursday. Catch the entire season finale on ETV Channel 10 and online at etvnews.com/livesports.
