Press Release
The Castle Country Fuller Center again played host to 35 Bike Adventure Group bicyclists as they traveled across the country doing service work in the communities they stayed in. Last year, they assisted the Fuller Center in home repairs and yard maintenance on a home in south Price.
This year they will be in Price June 4-6. There will be two projects that the Adventure group will assist with. One of those will be a home in Wellington and the other will be in Price. Volunteers from the community are welcome to join in and help.
Pinnacle Academy will house the riders during their stay and the Fuller Center will provide lunches and dinner for the group. The public is invited to come to the evening event in Washington Park on June 4 to meet the riders and enjoy the entertainment starting at 6:30 p.m. with light refreshments provided.
The Castle Country Fuller Center for Housing is continually looking for projects to help homeowners in Carbon and Emery Counties with needed repairs or improvements. Year-round, the Fuller Center helps low-income, elderly, disabled or Veteran homeowners with needed repairs and maintenance.
The Fuller Center for Housing is a faith driven and Christ-centered organization that promotes collaborative and innovative partnerships with individuals and organizations in an unrelenting quest to provide adequate shelter for all people in need worldwide. It was started by Millard Fuller to address the global shortage of housing after he and his wife parted ways with Habitat for Humanity over major differences in the way they chose to operate.
If you have a project or know of someone who could use the help of the Fuller Center or for more information on how to get involved, please contact Terri Tubbs at (435) 650-1236.
