On Monday, 8–12 grade Emery County girls played in the county softball tournament. The final game came down to the Castle Dale and Orangeville girls. The game was called due to the late hour and lighting limitations at the top of the fourth inning with Orangeville in the lead 8-0.
Castle Dale was in last place starting the tournament. After playing five games, the team secured second place.
