The Price Kiwanis Club entertained local youngsters Saturday with a huge party that included free food, giant blowup toys, giveaways and more.
The Kiwanis Club works year-round to collect donations and funds for the event, and event officials estimated approximately 1000 kids visited Saturday’s party.
Kiwanis Club chairman Richard Root said, “Our main goal is to serve the kids of Carbon and Emery County.
Root said the organization donates – among other things – eyeglasses, scholarships, Christmas presents and car seats to kids.
“We take care of the kids and love being part of the community,” Root said. “We’re part of a diverse crowd, from young parents to business owners over to retired people.”
Root thanked everyone involved and said the Kiwanis Club wouldn’t be able to pull off such events without community support.
The club gave away 28 bikes, scooters, skateboards and other large toys at the event.
