The USU Eastern men’s soccer team battled Trinidad State Junior College on Saturday at home. Despite heavy competition, the men were not able to connect with the net, resulting in a 1-0 loss for the Eagles.
Both teams were resilient in the first, keeping one another from scoring until Trinidad hit one in at 41 minutes. Despite attempts for a comeback in the second, USU Eastern was not able to net the ball. Dylan Mcillece protected the ball for the Eagles and kept out 15 shots from the opposing team.
USU Eastern now sits at 6-6-2 on the season. The men will host Dakota County Technical College on Oct 23. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
