Since Michelle Oviatt was in grade school she knew she wanted to do something with clothes for a career. After being told that she had to look a certain way or live in a different area, Oviatt decided to attend college for interior design, only to change her major to nursing, then to business, and again to elementary education.

For the past ten years, Oviatt has owned and operated a consignment store at her home. A year ago, she opened Castle Country Consignment full time.

During the summer, she worked at Rebel Thirty3 to help the owner and get accustomed to running the store. On Oct. 1, Oviatt’s dream finally came true when she purchased Rebel Thirty3. The new name of the store is Buckles ‘n Lace.

“I just wanted to design stuff and run a boutique and now I can,” she stated.

Buckles ‘n Lace carries a variety of current, trendy fashions for women, men and kids at prices that can fit in any budget. The store also carries shoes, purses and various accessories. Oviatt is currently in the process of bringing in an all-natural mineral makeup and Gold Canyon Candles.

In addition to the new items for sale, Oviatt is continues to sell consignment items at Buckles ‘n Lace. “The biggest thing about having consignment is that it helps people out,” she explained. “It feels good to help the community.”

Only good quality, current fashions in clean and excellent condition will be accepted at Buckles ‘n Lace. So, those who think their wardrobe needs an update should let Buckles ‘n Lace have a chance to help them.

Buckles ‘n Lace is located at 115 North Main Street between Carbon Emery Insurance and Miller’s Landing in Huntington. The store hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Customers can find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/bucklesnlace or call them at (435) 687-2010.
