Distracted driving may have led a 19-year-old to crash his 1989 Ford Tempo Friday evening on Highway 6.
Helper resident Tanner Bradley was traveling eastbound when he veered off the road near milepost 238. The car hit the end of the guardrail and ricocheted back onto the road, ending up in the number two lane.
No other cars or persons were involved in the accident.
Bradley was transported to Castleview Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Levi Oman reported the crash may have been the result of distracted driving, but because the driver was “in and out” while giving a statement, there was no way to be sure.
The Utah Department of Transportation was on the scene to sweeping up glass and performing some work on the guardrail.
