The Emery High School wrestling team traveled to Manti to take on the Templars on Wednesday.
Manti won the meet because Emery couldn’t field enough participants to fill out the card.

Emery had six wins compared to five losses, but three Spartan forfeits because of a lack of bodies gave Manti the win.
Assistant coach Doug Mecham said Emery needs more participants if the team hopes to compete with other schools because some teams double Emery’s number of athletes.
“[The team] is doing well,” Mecham said. “I am very proud of them and how far they have all come.”
The winning Spartans were: Cezly Collard (120), Ryan Cox (126), Paden Wells (132), Cole Guymon (145), Chet Funk (170) and Brett Sorenson (182).
Emery next travels to ALA on Wednesday.
