Those that wanted to experience a good, old-fashioned country Christmas flocked to the Carbon County Event center on Wednesday evening. There, they found well-known country artist Michael Martin Murphey ready to welcome in the Christmas spirit with a myriad of musical numbers for all to enjoy.
The Cowboy Christmas Tour has been hosted by Murphey for over 25 years and is a special tour for Murphey owing to the homage to not only the reason for the season, but also to showcase the history of what a cowboy Christmas really meant to those of the past generations.
Classic Christmas tunes, country gems and even a handful of new numbers from Murphey’s recently released album “Austinology” were played to the crowd’s growing enjoyment.
