Six local teens competed in the Miss Carbon County’s Outstanding Teen 2014 pageant on Saturday evening. Participants competed in personal interview, lifestyle and fitness, talent, evening gown and onstage question categories.
This year’s contestants included Dyllan Pyper, Sarah Clark, Tavery Larsen, Adriana Taylor, Madison Burrola and Jacee Kraync. At the end of the evening, Adriana Taylor was crowned Miss Carbon County’s Outstanding Teen 2014. She was presented the crown and sash by Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen JessiKate Riley and Miss Carbon County’s Outstanding Teen 2013 Jenna Hansen.
Miss Carbon County Brielle Bogdin, Little Miss Carbon County Madisen Justesen and Mini Miss Carbon County Tatum Tatton were also in attendance and performed during the event.
The outstanding teen pageant is a scholarship based program that places emphasis on scholastic achievement, community service, style and individual success of young women across Utah.
Taylor will now move on to participate in the Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen State Scholarship Pageant where over $87,000 in scholarship assistance is available.
