Community members braced the wind at the North Springs Shooting Range on Saturday, participating in several different shooting events, raising money for Frank Ori’s recovery.
Participants were able to buy tickets for each event that also entered them into a drawing for prizes, as well as buy a lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs to keep them fueled for the events. All proceeds went towards Ori’s recovery.
There were nine different stations at the event at the Castle Gate Town, including a three gun shoot at the saloon, archery at boot hill, and a cowboy action challenge in the church. Each station was sponsored and ran by various entities. The Castle Action Shooters League, North Springs Archery Club, Castle Gate Posse, Ron Young, and Don and Gail Weeks brought the events to life and helped to run the event.
By the end of the day, the event brought out 65 participants and raised $1,330 in donations.
