The Price Kiwanis Club would like to invite all Castle Country area youngsters who are under the age of 12 years old to come to the annual Kids’ Day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at Washington Park located at 150 East 450 North in Price.
“It’s going to be a great day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Washington Park on Saturday the 28th. Get there around 10 a.m. to sign yourself up in the drawing and get your tickets into the drawing for the bikes. We’re going to give away close to $3,000 or $4,000 worth of bikes, scooters, basketball hoops and things like that to the different age groups,” said Kiwanis Club Member Nick Tatton. All children under the age of 12 years old in attendance on Saturday can enter the drawing. Children must be present at the time of the drawing in order to win.
The organization’s main focus is to give children a chance to grow, learn, experience and succeed. “The Price Kiwanis Club, the club in this area, is coming up on a 100-year anniversary, so it’s one of the oldest clubs in America really, continually operating and its all about children; it’s a children’s charity,” explained Tatton. The club hosts yearly fundraisers such as the annual radio auction in the spring and the duck race in July. All of the proceeds earned from fundraising efforts help fund Kids’ Day, plus the Sub for Santa program and financial assistance to children in need of eyeglasses and hearing aids.
The club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child and one community at a time. To learn more about Kiwanis of Price Utah, visit their Facebook page.
