The Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah’s Art Department is pleased to announce the Annual Juried Student Art Show, which will be held from April 11 through May 5 at Gallery East. The art show is open to all USU Eastern students and includes all art forms and media.

Gallery director Noel Carmack says, “Unfortunately, we no longer offer graphic arts and printmaking courses, so we won’t benefit from seeing artwork created in those disciplines this year. We hope to make up for it in other areas like painting, drawing, watercolor, and ceramics.”

Artwork in past USU Eastern student art shows have included a variety of media, including oil painting, drawing, graphic arts, printmaking, photography, and ceramics. The work will be juried by USU Eastern art department faculty and awards will be given out for the most deserving entries.

The art show will be exhibited at Gallery East from April 11 through May 5, 2011. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, April 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. Students, family, and interested public are welcome to attend. The gallery is free and open to the public during the academic year.

Gallery East’s Spring 2011 hours are:
