Students receive Emery Telcom scholarships as part of the program’s awards in the past.
At this point in the school year, many local high school seniors are faced with the prospect of applying to and paying for college. Emery Telcom wants to help relieve a bit of the stress by providing local students with scholarships to defer some of those expenses.
Emery Telcom’s program offers $1,000 scholarships to high school students from Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan counties. In offering these scholarships, the company’s goal is to provide financial aid to students who have demonstrated strong academics, community involvement and a desire to further their education. This scholarship money is to be used for tuition, school fees and books.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 20. Interested students can find more information, including requirements, and the application on Emery Telcom’s website at www.emerytelcom.com. There, click on the “Community” tab and select “Scholarships.”
The company will give priority to applicants who have not been awarded other scholarships or financial aid. Winners will be notified mid-May.
