For the second time in two days, Carbon Dino runner Garrett Marsing broke his own school record, this time in the 800, in a time of 1:54.81. On Wednesday, he broke his own 1600 meter record. Both took place at the Region 12 Championships at Juab High School.

Marsing has broken or helped break four Carbon records so far this season, in the 3200, 1600 and 800 meters. He also ran the 800 leg of the sprint medley that broke a 34-year-old record in mid April.

Seniors Abbie Powell and Jayde Moynier went first and second in the high jump. Lexi Monson finished in fourth.

Head coach Jimmy Jewkes said that sophomore Morgan Hillam qualified for the state meet in the shot put by placing fourth. Jordyn Oman also qualified in the 200 meters when she finished fourth.
