A discussion about finding someone to regularly clean the Elmo Town Hall evolved into concern about people who use the building for activities and the damages such activities have recently caused.
Elmo Town Secretary Delena Fish said, “We had to buy paint and a carpet cleaner after one of the recent parties because people didn’t clean up or take care of the facility.”
Councilmen said they would think about incorporating cleaning into the rental agreement.
Discussion about hiring a janitor to regulalrly service the building was tabled because of a lack of interested candidates.
Councilmen also voted to pay election judges $150 as compensation for training and service.
