Friends, family and fellow shooting enthusiasts gathered at the North Springs Shooting Range on Wednesday evening to celebrate a recent victory by local Lon Thayn.
Thayn, a member of the Castle Action Shooters League, recently won 1st place at the three day long NRA World Shooting Championship Competition that took place in Glengary, West Virginia. Thayn scored over 200 shooters in the Amateur Division in 12 different events from several shooting categories.
The barbecue, fixed with all the staples such as salads, burgers, hot dogs and the like, took place at the pavilion located at the Castle Gate City at the shooting range. The meal was served promptly at 6 p.m.
