BK Gardens, owned and operated by Beau and Jennifer Killpack, is now open for business.

A ribbon cutting was held at 240 West 300 North in Ferron at the new business. The greenhouse is full of bedding plants, including flower and vegetable, hanging baskets, planters and anything else a customer might need for a garden. Customers can even bring their own planters to BK Gardens and they will plant them.

Emery County Chamber of Commerce President Jared Anderson and Emery County Economic Director Jordan Leonard, as well as other chamber members, were on hand to welcome the new business.

Killpack’s parents, Roger and Sandra Killpack, retired from the business approximately eight years ago. Their nursery was called RK Gardens and was at the same location. Beau and Jennifer have been in the nursery business for about five years and previously had a couple of small green houses in Castle Dale. They and their three children have since moved to Ferron, rebuilt and now operate BK Gardens. Their youngest son, Christopher, was privileged to hold the ribbon cutting scissors. Beau commented that he learned to work in his father’s business and he hopes the same for his children.
