Students at Bruin Point Elementary celebrated their last Bear Cave event of the school year on Thursday. Bear Cave is a program that honors students who have went above and beyond within the school.
Students with perfect attendance for fourth quarter and for the entire year were also honored at the event.
The Bears concluded their last day by having fellow classmates and school staff sign books to remind them of the 2013-2014 year.
Bruin Point Elementary Principal Stacy Basinger also reminded those in attendance that the school will host a summer lunch program starting on June 2. Lunch will be served Monday-Friday from 11:30-12:30 and will run in addition to the school’s summer camp. Children and their families are invited to take part in the program.
