Business Spotlight: Ace Hardware

Ace Hardware in Castle Dale has been family owned and operated since the 1930’s. However, it hasn’t always been the hardware store that it is today. In 1930, current owner Patrick Jones’ grandfather purchased the building and land and started a grain business. After a successful run until 1955, Jones’ father took over and expanded the grain company. At the front of the grain company was a small hardware shop where customers could purchase various tools and gardening supplies. In 1975, Jones bought out his father and created Coast to Coast, Emery County’s first hardware store of that size. In 2000, Jones expanded and converted to Ace Hardware. In January, the store expanded once again by adding more items as well as new brands. Ace Hardware currently carries over 30,000 items in their store.

Ace Hardware offers a large variety of different products and services such as plumbing, electrical automotive, sporting goods, guns and ammo. The store also has a paint matching system, which was rated number one by consumer reports. They recently expanded their lawn and garden department and offer gardening supplies, shrubbery, bedding plants, trees, mowers, tillers, as well as chemicals for bugs and weeds. Tools and gardening supplies are not all that Ace Hardware has to offer; they also offer fish and game licenses, camping equipment, and RV and trailer parts.

Jones prides his store on their exceptional service. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable of the store and the products they offer. They also have a good reputation of always having products in stock with 97% fill rate and offer the largest variety of tools and products in the county.

Visit Ace Hardware for great prices every day and watch out for their March Savings Sale. The store is located at 195 E. Main in Castle Dale and can be contacted at (435) 381-2421. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed Sunday.
