Purple Pear Skin Care is a home-based business that was started by local resident Danielle Gale. It is a business that provides soaps, chap sticks, body butter, lotion bars, and salt and sugar scrubs.
Gale began making the products as a hobby and loved what she did so much that she wanted to share it with others. She began providing products to other people and stated that the company grew from there.
There are two different types of products available from Purple Pear. There is a natural line in which colorants and scent are avoided with essential oils. There are also products that have cosmetic grade colors and fragrance oils. Also often used in the products is olive oil, almond oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, bees wax, coconut oil, castor oil, lard and vegetable shortening. Gale also uses pure lye when making soap.
Gale stated that her favorite product she makes is the soap. Many of the ingredients used in Purple Pear’s products are beneficial to the skin, not containing chemicals that are found in store-bought products.
