Spectators and athletes gathered at Washington Park and the Desert Wave Pool to watch and participate in the Lunatic Triathlon on Friday. There was a kid’s triathlon before the adult’s triathlon, with an hour between each race.
The races took place between 8 and 11 p.m. Since the races took place later in the day, each participant was required to wear a headlamp. All participants were also required to wear a helmet.
A horseshoe tournament happened at the same time as the triathlons at Washington Park.
