It took just four innings for the undefeated Carbon Blue 12U All-Stars on Thursday to dispatch the Northern Utah All-Stars from Herriman, 15-3, in the Pacific Southwest Regional in California.
Ridge Nelson picked up the win on the mound after throwing three innings. Riley Davis pitched the last inning in relief.
Carbon was fresh off of a bye on Wednesday and will now play the Central California team from Visalia on Friday, who sits with a 2-1 record, losing its last game on Wednesday to Long Beach, 4-3.
Carbon Blue is the only undefeated team remaining in Pool A. The top two seeds from each pool will play on Saturday in a single elimination tournament beginning at 10 a.m., with the championship taking place at 3:30 p.m.
