After demolishing their opponents in the Utah state 9U tournament in Redmond on July 10-11, the Carbon All-Stars made the trip to Kingsburg, Calif. for Monday’s matchup with the Northern Utah All-Stars from Vernal in an opening-round pool play game at the Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament.
Carbon fought hard but was handed a 10-6 loss.
Carbon will play Wednesday against second-seeded Northern California at 11:30 a.m. The team had a bye on Tuesday. Carbon will then play Central California on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m to wrap up pool play.
Carbon was placed in the Babe Ruth Pool in the tournament. Other teams in the pool include Central California, Northern California, Northern Utah and Southern Utah (Carbon).
