The Carbon High basketball program enjoyed a successful run over the weekend.
The girls went 2-1 from Thursday to Saturday, and the boys blasted Tooele 62-46 Friday night.
The attended the Fruita, Colo., tournament and downed Basalt and Fruita Monument 46-15 and 48-26, respectively. Carbon’s only loss came in an overtime thriller against Grand Junction. The final score was 49-43.
Kelcy Otani, Rachel Scoggins and Miranda Averett starred for the Lady Dinos.
Jordan Blanc and Clay Finkbiner scored 17 points each as Carbon beat Tooele on the road. Finbiner nailed five three-point shots in the game.
The Carbon boys next host South Sevier Wednesday.
The girls host Emery Tuesday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10.
