The Carbon County Commissioners and Fairgrounds Staff wish to inform everyone that due to the extreme fire danger prevailing in the county, the annual Fourth of July fireworks show has been cancelled.
Additionally, the Commissioners remind everyone that the use of fireworks and pyrotechnic devises is strictly prohibited within all areas of the County not lying inside the boundaries of an incorporated city or town. В This restriction applies to all privately owned property, as well as to all property and roads owned by the County, state and other public and governmental entities.
However, all other 4th of July festivities previously scheduled to take place at the Fairgrounds will continue as planned.  These include free food to first 1000 attendees, kids’ crafts and activities, bouncers, a pie eating contest, the coal shoveling contest, and a concert that night by the band “No Limits.” Come out and enjoy all the great activities beginning at 5 p.m. on July 4th at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.  For more information call 636-3214.
