A dozen horseshoe teams gathered at the Carbon County Fair for an afternoon tournament on Saturday.
Bill Mitchell and Guy Neena took the top honors followed by Dustin and Mikey Lofley in second. BJ Davis and Kevin Powell rounded out the top three.
Horseshoe enthusiasts will next compete at a fundraiser tournament for Job’s Daughters International on Saturday, Sept. 9. The tournament will take place at Price’s Washington Park with registration beginning at 12 p.m. and the double-elimination action kicking off at 1 p.m.
Participation in the tournament costs $20, which includes lunch. Ringer buckets will be be set up for players to pay a quarter for each ringer they make. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.
