Memorial Day is a day of honor and remembrance. On Monday, citizens of Carbon County and visitors from places all across the United States joined together at various cemeteries of the county to pay their respect to the fallen heroes of war.
American Legion Post #3 led the ceremony at the cemetery in Helper, Wellington and both cemeteries located in Price. Colors were presented, a remembrance speech was given by Post Commander Neldon Huff and a prayer was then said. After the prayer, members of the post fired three rounds.
“Let us pledge ourselves anew to patriotic service,” stated Huff.
