Robert Gutierrez of Carbon County was sentenced in Seventh District Court on Monday regarding a single charge for sexual abuse for a child.
Gutierrez, 34, was charged with one count of sexual abuse of a child that stemmed from an incident in November 2013. Gutierrez was sentenced to one year in the Carbon County Jail. In addition, he will be on the sex offender registry for his lifetime, must abide by the sex offender contract and have no contact with females under the age of 18. Gutierrez will also undergo sex offender treatment, pay a $2,500 fine and pay restitution for any treatment the victim may undergo.
