The seventh annual Community Ice-Skating Party was held Saturday at the Carbon County Ice Skating Pond.
A total of around 175 people attended the free event, put on by Carbon County Recreation and other local businesses. Besides offering a good time on the ice, free chili was served courtesy of Price’s Main Street Grill as well as hot chocolate and s’mores provided by Carbon County Recreation and the Carbon County Event Center.
The local maintenance crew spent the day previous making sure the pond was ready for the party. Those interested can still skate at the local venue Tuesdays through Sundays. Lights illuminating the pond turn off at 10 p.m. and the pond is closed Mondays for resurfacing of the ice.
