On Tuesday morning, the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office shared a winter weather advisory to caution those in areas of Utah.
This advisory stated that heavy snow was possible with total accumulations reaching up to six to 12 inches. The areas of concern listed were Castle Country, the San Rafael Swell and South Central Utah.
All were cautioned that from Wednesday evening to late Thursday night, the storm could hit. Additional details stated that travel could be very difficult or even impossible.
Concluding the advisory was the statement that a winter storm watch means that there is potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulation.
