There’s nothing like a rivalry game to level out the field and bring out a tough, tight game. That’s exactly what happened on the pitch on Tuesday when the Dinos visited the Spartans in Castle Dale.
The added energy resulted in a deadlock through the first half. Both squads found the back of the net in the second half, but it was Carbon that came out on top. Amiah Timothy scored twice to lift Carbon over Emery 2-1.
Allee Madrid and Jezmin Pressett each had assists for the Lady Dinos. The Spartans were opportunistic with their chances, as they were few. They scored one goal on six shots on goal, while Emma Flemmet cleaned up five saves.
Carbon (7-3, 2-1) will have the rest of the week off while Emery (2-12, 0-4) will head to Canyon View (10-3, 4-0) on Thursday.
