Carbon High School’s FCCLA Students Headed to State Competition

Carbon High’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) team recently visited Brigham Young University to show their strengths in the region competition. Each student competed exceptionally well and all were able to earn a place in the state competition.

The following is each category that the students competed in and the medals that they earned.

In the category titled Career Investigation, for the senior category, Abby Robertson received gold. In the occupational category, Canden Stockdale was awarded silver.

For the Chapter Service Project Display in the junior category, Tiffany Kinder and Jerica Blanchard received silver while Hannah Powell received silver in the occupational category. Meanwhile, in the Chapter in Review Display for the senior category, Jordan Lupo was awarded gold.

In Entrepreneurship, senior category, Brenda Payan received gold. For the senior category of Food Innovations, Kayse Christiansen and Inez Johnson received gold while Crystal Nef and Shaubre Stockdale were awarded silver in the occupational category.

Katrina Edwards received silver in the senior category of Job Interview while Mason Rogers received silver in the occupational category. Finally, for Life Event Planning in the senior category, silver was awarded to Lydia Barr.

“We had a really great day; all of our students qualified for state and we are excited,” stated FCCLA director Daphne Stockdale.

The state competition will take place March 27 – 29.
