Carbon received lumps in a non-region tournament over the weekend. The Lady Dinos played Spanish Fork, Manti, North Sanpete and Payson. They lost all the games, 11-3, 11-5, 11-2 and 7-6, respectively.
Carbon’s opponents jumped out to big leads in every game. In regards to the Payson match, the Lady Dinos were able to tie the game at four in the third. They then gave up three runs in the bottom the fourth inning, after grabbing a two-point lead, to lose 7-6.
Clarissa Noyes had two home runs and seven RBIs over the weekend and Amya Prettyman went 3-7 over three games with two doubles.
Up next for the Lady Dinos (9-7, 3-1 Region 14) is a rivalry game against the Lady Spartans (8-4, 4-3 Region 15) in Castle Dale on Tuesday. This contest will be streamed live on ETV Channel 10 and online. Carbon will continue on the road to Juab (6-5, 3-0 Region 14) on Thursday and American Leadership Academy (6-4, 1-2 Region 14) on Saturday.
