Carbon High played host to a NBA Math Hoops tournament on Wednesday afternoon for the elementary schools in the Carbon School District. Math Hoops is implemented in the after-school program for each elementary. The schools went head to head in a game combination of math and basketball. Staff and volunteers managed the basketballs while the students worked on math problems.
After all the schools played against one another, it came down to the top three and which school would be declared the winner. The Wellington Warriors took first place and second place went to the Bruin Point Bears while the remainder of the elementary schools tied for third place.
