The Carbon Scout team secured a 6-5 victory over the Wasatch club in a Utah Perfect Game League contest Monday. The Varsity team fell 6-2.
Triton Abeyta was the winning pitcher for the young squad. The team held on for the win despite jumping out to a 6-1 lead after the second inning.
Mitch Olson was credited with the loss for the Varsity team after going four innings. The team managed just six singles in the game.
Varsity members will host Uintah on Thursday in Helper at 5 and 7 p.m. There will be no games next week.
