The Dinos welcomed many in the pool at the fall invite on Tuesday. Swimmers from Delta, Emery, Grand Gunnison and South Sevier all gathered to compete in the event.
Carbon took the girls’ 200 medley relay by just 0.2 seconds over Emery. The Dino boys’ 200 medley relay followed suit with anther win. Haley Guymon then gave the Spartans a victory in the 200 free, dropping her PR by 2.42 seconds. She also went on to win the 100 back later in the day.
Nicole Swasey answered back for the the Lady Dinos with her first place finish in the 200 IM. She set a PR as well, cutting off 1.67 seconds. Swasey went on to win the 100 breast.
Dinos Gabe Ibanez and Matthew Torres won the 200 IM and 100 fly, respectively. Lady Spartan Kaelee Hooley finished first in the 50 free and 100 fly while teammate Jenny Funk found gold in the 200 breast. Kacee Barrett (CHS) ended on top in the 100 free and Emily Jespersen (CHS) did the same in the 500 free.
Dino relays again found success in the girls’ 200 and 400 free with victories while the Spartans took the boys’ 200 free.
Carbon won the girls’ division with 211 points followed by Emery (164) and Grand (72). The Spartans ended on top on the boys’ side with 131 points compared to Grand (108) and Carbon (76).
