Students from Castle Dale Elementary presented a holiday program on Wednesday at the Emery High auditorium. It was entitled “A Wonderful Winter Program.”
Following Principal Melinda Durrant’s welcome, fifth grade student narrators Scott White and Raelee Oveson invited everyone to come on a “Wonderful Winter Adventure” with the students of Castle Dale Elementary. The opening number sang by everyone was “It’s a Marshmallow World.”
The upper grades left the stage and Mrs. Cosby’s kindergarten class sang “Everyone’s Goin’ On a Sleigh Ride.” It was introduced by Maci Christman, Piper Sorensen, Jaxx Jeffs and Zane Hardman. Next, first grade narrators Elsie Jensen, Bostyn Labrum, Jethro Halstead, Gabriel Ariotti and Oakley Rollins set the stage for the first grade musical number “Here Comes the Snow.” Ms. Lee’s first grade students each had a large snowflake in hand to dance with as they sang.
Second grade teachers Mrs. Frandsen and Miss Guymon directed their student’s musical number, “Season of the Bells.” Second grade narrators Noah Manning, Parker Sharp, Eva Larsen and FayeLynn Vessels introduced the number.
A recorder musical performance of “Jingle Bells” was then presented by third graders from Mrs. Tuttle’s class. Narrators were Tiare Gordon, Jake Bertuzzi, Emma Scow and Graysen Howard. Mrs. Jones’ fourth grade class sang and danced to “Jingle Jangle” following an introduction by Christopher Wilberg, Connor Green, Beckett Huntington and JD Labrum.
The fifth grade students came on stage with ukuleles to present “Feliz Navidad.” Mrs. Huggard’s class narrators were Joshua Erickson, Koda Thompson, JP Bertuzzi and Drayden Christman. The finale was sang by all the students and was the classic “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
