Students at Castle Heights Elementary have the opportunity to visit Santa’s Workshop this week. The PTA sponsored event gives children the opportunity to purchase gifts on their own for family members.
Participants bring money and a list of gift recipients. They then browse items for sale along with the assistance of an adult helper (if needed). After purchasing their gifts, children receive gift bags to wrap their handpicked presents in. The experience allows youngsters to shop for Christmas gifts on their own while learning the importance of budgeting.
Santa’s Workshop will run through Dec. 5 at the elementary school.
