Over a hundred and fifty students received recognition for their awards at the Carbon School District Student Awards Banquet at the Carbon School District offices Tuesday night.
Students received recognition for competitions at the region, state and national levels.
Categories included the SSEC Regional Spelling Bee, Sterling Scholar, Academic All-State, ACT Test Scores over 35, debate, essay, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, History Fair, music, ProStart, Quiz Bowl, Science Fair/Junior, Science Fair/Senior and Skills USA.
Superintendent of Schools Patsy Bueno spoke at the event. Mike Milovich, Jaynie Ray Nielsen and Judy Mainord also spoke at the event.
