Addiction plays a large and unfortunate role in the lives of many local residents in the Castle Country area. The Lost and Found organization in Price has recognized the need to assist those that are living with and struggling through addiction.
The organization hosts groups and classes that are all faith-based and look at addiction through a biblical eye and take biblical principles to apply to everyday life. The classes have a different view than the traditional 12-step program but have boasted a very high success rate.
In addition, Lost and Found also assists those that feel that to recover, relocating and finding a different environment is prudent. The secondhand thrift store located at the center provides the income needed to assist those struggling into faith-based treatment centers in California. Thus far, 35 individuals have taken part.
Recently, it was brought to the organization’s attention that there is a renowned Christian comedian named Brad Stine that does traveling shows. Stine reached out to the church and set up a date for a night of laughs. The Trinity Christian Center, also in Price, will be hosting Stine on Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. The Liberty Faith Fellowship, Price Chapel and Gospel Community Churches will also play a part in hosting this event.
Admission for the event is free and the church will be passing a donation basket around to assist the efforts of Lost and Found to continue to assist those that are in the midst of addiction. Members of the community are invited to join the center and Stine for an evening of laughter and comedy.
