Concerned citizens approached Elmo Town Council members Wednesday about “disgraceful” conditions in town.

Concerns including grass needing to be cut, sprinklers needing repairs to water lawns, and gutters that need cleaning were the top complaints.

“Every street in town looks disgraceful and we need to make changes,” said one town councilman.

Other notes from the meeting:

  • Ethan Migliori made an appearance to speak about his plans as Emery County commissioner if he were to be elected this year. Among his plans was one to attract businesses to Emery County.
  • Concerns about Elmo Youth City Council. Those in charge don’t have enough time to devote to the council and need new people to help out.
  • Stray dogs in town were discussed. The council decided to get a live trap from the county and see how well it works.
  • Other items discussed were how much citizens can do on the new sidewalks, decision to leave sanitation fees where they are, and Horse and Buggy Days business.
