Crowds flooded the small town of Cleveland last week as the annual Cleveland Days celebration brought forth three days of events.
Activities began on Thursday with bike races followed by a Dutch oven contest. The Straight Canyon Band brought music and dancing to round out the evening. Friday started with a free kids’ day in the park at noon and the fun continued with a potluck lamb fry and a movie night in the park.
The festivities began early on Saturday morning with a 5K run and breakfast in the park. Local boy scouts led a flag raising ceremony before the kids’ parade and grand parade. Activities continued throughout the day with kids’ games, horseshoe and cornhole tournament, a raffle and more. Fireworks sent the event off with a bang on Saturday night.
The celebration also served to pay tribute to Dan and Annette Wells, the 2019 Cleveland Days Honored Citizens.
