The 2017 USU Eastern Business Conference had local business leaders rolling up their sleeves eager to learn on Thursday.
The annual conference features a day of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, networking and more. Those in attendance at this year’s event began the morning with breakfast while listening to Joe McManus speak. McManus educated the audience with his presentation deemed “Cyber Security is Easy: 10 Things You Can Do to Mitigate Cyber Risk.”
The crowd then broke apart to engage in various breakout sessions revolving around digital marketing, access to funding, the dos and don’ts of human resources, and much more.
Before the conclusion of the conference, attendees enjoyed lunch along with keynote speaker Bim Oliver. With his presentation entitled “Utah’s Main Street Program: What it Taught Us,” Oliver spoke on the importance of a thriving main street in any small town.
This year’s USUE Business Conference was made possible by Custom Fit, Emery Telcom, USU Eastern, Price City, the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, the Emery County Business Chamber, Utah SBDC Network, Sutherlands, Castle Country BEAR, Pepsi and the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
