Can you outrun the White Lady? This was the tagline and question on each attendee’s mind as they ran through Spring Canyon on Saturday morning for the annual Spring Canyon 5K Run.
The race began at 9 a.m. and took participants down the canyon and through Helper City. The run was sponsored by Carbon County Recreation as well as Helper Flare and was just the right kind of festive 5K to get everyone in the Halloween spirit.
Fifteen-year-old Jacob Jewkes crossed the finish line first with a time of 18.38, followed by Rodney Ewell at 20.21. Colton Clement was just behind to round out the top three, finishing in 20.37.
