A Ford Ranger carrying 30 containers of diesel exhaust liquid had its load shift and spill along the westbound lane of the east interchange of Highway 6 Wednesday morning. According to Utah Highway Patrol Spokesman Wayne Baird each container had about 2-3 gallons of liquid. It is unknown how many containers spilled on the roadway.
Currently, westbound traffic is being diverted through Price. All other lanes remain open.
Though the barrels have been picked up, U-DOT crews are still working to clean up the material.
The westbound on-ramp should open in approximately 30 minutes.
UPDATE: Highway 6 near milepost 242 has been reopened.
