Carbon had eight matches over the weekend at the Manti Holiday Classic and pulled out victories against Panguitch, San Juan and Summit Academy. The team tied with South Summit and narrowly lost to Grand, 37-36. The Dinos also lost to Gunnison Valley, Kanab and Richfield to go (3-4-1) in the tournament.
Robert Bobby (138) went (6-1) with six pins in the tournament. Nathan Cowley (152) only had one loss as well in six matches to go (5-1) with five pins. Darryk Mitchen (145) also had five pins to go 5-2 for the Dinos.
The Dinos will not hit the competitive mats again until after the holiday break when they host Delta in Price on Jan. 3.
