On Thursday, Carbon took on Millard on the tennis courts. The visiting Eagles were no match for the Dinos as Carbon won 5-0.
Lindsey Snow was perfect in first singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Elizabeth Blackburn was also impressive in second singles with a 6-0, 6-1 thumping. In third singles, Ella Anderson won 6-1, 6-2.
Doubles partners Audrey Hatch and Isadora Netto were victorious 6-1, 6-1 in first singles as Hannah Ludington and Lyndie Richardson won 6-2, 6-0 in second singles.
Carbon then went on a trip to St. George to play in a highly competitive tournament. While the Dinos took seventh overall out of nine teams, there were many learning experiences.
Snow bounced back from a narrow first-round loss (7-6, 7-5) to win her next three matches. Blackburn and Anderson each went 2-2 in the tourney. The doubles team struggled and went a combined 0-8.
Westlake took first with Lone Peak in second and Desert Hills in third. Juab finished above Carbon in fifth, but first of 3A schools.
The Dinos will host Richfield on Tuesday before traveling to Grand and San Juan on Thursday.
