The Carbon High boys’ soccer team faced off against North Sanpete on Friday for their final home match and senior night celebration. Before the game, seniors Harrison Torgerson and Andrew Williams were announced as recipients of the Academic All-Region Award.
Though looking for a win on their home field, the Dinos walked away with a 2-1 loss. The end of the first half found the Dinos lagging behind the Hawks 1-0. Senior Taylor Griffeth was able to find the net for the team in the second half, but it wasn’t enough take home the victory as North Sanpete also scored a second time to finish out the game on top.
The final region match for the Dinos is slated for Wednesday. The Dinos will travel south as they look for a victory against the Falcons.
