Carbon traveled to play Delta on Tuesday and put together a two-out rally, with some help from the Rabbits, in the opening inning to go up 3-0. The Dinos capitalized on more Delta miscues in the third to make it 4-0.
Collin Lewis pitched four excellent innings before he was chased out of the ball game in the fifth. The Rabbits pounced on the Dinos with six runs before Jordan Fossat came in and limited the damage. Down 6-5, Braxton Bennett hit Ty Anderson home to tie the game. Carbon scored two more times in the sixth on more Delta errors for an 8-6 advantage. That would be all the Dinos would need as Fossat pitched three scoreless innings of relief to get the win.
Carbon only had three hits in the game but was greatly aided by 12 Rabbit errors.
Delta (2-9, 0-5 Region 14) and Carbon (6-7, 5-0 Region 14) will meet on the diamond again on Friday in Helper. The game will be broadcast live online and on ETV Channel 10.
